Startup Founder Built 9 AI Employees: 'I Am a Breathless OpenClaw Bro'

Claire Vo’s first encounter with OpenClaw was a disaster: it wiped her family calendar.

Now she’s running nine AI “employees” — and she’s not alone. The startup founder told Lenny’s Podcast that she’s gone from OpenClaw skeptic to evangelist. “I would not have expected myself to say this in January: It has changed my life. I am a breathless OpenClaw bro now,” she said.

Vo built a team of agents spanning her business and personal life: a salesperson, a business operations manager, a family assistant handling household logistics, and a kids’ education agent — among others. Tasks that used to take ten hours a week of human admin work (managing her CRM, drafting customer emails) are now handled autonomously.

“Every day I wake up and there’s 20 minutes of work waiting for me that I didn’t have to do,” she said — including having her calendar fully prepped, emails sorted, and follow-ups drafted before she’s even opened her laptop.

Vo is clear-eyed about the risks. She’s had the agent delete files from her computer and acknowledges the privacy implications of a system that knows where her kids go to school. But the economic value has been real and measurable.

“Before OpenClaw, I was paying someone about 10 hours a week to manage my CRM and draft customer emails. That work is now done by one AI agent. This has real economic value to me and is real time carved back,” she said.

The broader pattern she’s describing — a single person running a team of AI agents as a substitute for human staff — fits squarely into the “one-person company” trend that has fueled much of OpenClaw’s viral growth in China and beyond.
