Sam Altman: ChatGPT Login is Live

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman confirmed on social media that ChatGPT subscribers can now sign in to OpenClaw directly using their ChatGPT account, bridging the subscription many users already pay for with the OpenClaw experience. “you can sign in to openclaw with your chatgpt account now and use your subscription there! happy lobstering,” Altman wrote.

Satya Nadella: Windows Partnership at MSBuild

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella thanked Peter Steinberger for the partnership bringing OpenClaw to Windows, saying: “Thanks for joining us, and all the partnership as we make OpenClaw run super well on Windows! 🦞” — a notable shout-out from the head of one of the world’s largest tech companies, referencing the MSBuild 2026 announcements.

OpenClaw Foundation Established

As previously reported, Peter Steinberger — OpenClaw’s creator — is transitioning the project to the OpenClaw Foundation, a non-profit organization that will govern the open-source project going forward. Steinberger is also joining OpenAI to work on consumer agents. The foundation structure is designed to ensure OpenClaw remains open, community-driven, and independent regardless of corporate partnerships.
